Jon Stewat Hypocrisy

This story was interesting. Chuck Schumer made an embarrassing gaffe.

So I would urge my Republican colleagues, no matter how strong they feel — you know, we have three branches of government: we have a House, the Senate, we have a President, and all three of us are going to have to come together and give some. But it is playing with fire to risk the shutting down of the government, just as it is playing with fire to risk not paying the debt ceiling.
The correct answer is "The USA has three branches of government: the corporations, the lawyers, and the police."

I saw Chuck Schumer on the subway in November. He was promoting a local candidate. I was able to tell right away that he was criminally insane. It was very disturbing. I wasn't able to notice based on seeing him on TV.

Whenever Sarah Palin or Glenn Beck say something stupid, Jon Stewart mercilessly ridicules them. It is hypocritical, that Jon Stewart didn't ridicule Chuck Schumer for this mistake.

LOL.

Funny.

Also true.

The three branches of the government are really the executive (president), judicial (Supreme Court) and legislative (House & Senate). Yet FSK is probably more correct in the way these branches play out currently. It is just funny to see a high ranking government employee mess this up, something I think I learned Freshman year in high school.

The problem is the executive and the judiciary have grabbed all the power for themselves and the House/Senate (US) or Parliament (UK) has not much role anymore.

In the UK, the laws are made in Brussels and Parliament at most rubber stamps the results. In Brussels corporations and lobbyists write the laws.

The EU President (Mr Rompey Pompey) is unelected.

When the police end up killing innocent men (innocent newspaper man killed in G20 riots in London) and the lawyers act so slow as to cause the charges to fall out of their time-limit, we see lawyers and the government (police) act as one instead of independently.
