On my next to last day of work, I got a 3 month contract extension!
I had already sent out some resumes and scheduled some interviews! I guess I should keep the interviews, and take that day off.
I don't normally look for a job while already employed, unless I expect to be fired. It's a huge time sink. It's frustrating dealing with clueless headhunters and hiring managers.
I'll keep the interviews I already scheduled. I'll wait 3 months before sending out resumes again.

Congratulations FSK. Funny post title too. Definitely keep the interviews and good luck in the new year.
I always found it annoying that degree results and pre-university exams, publicly available examples of work etc. were totally ignored during the interview process.
Almost every interview requires you to sit hours and hours of technical testing. Some interviews require a couple of hours doing pre-interview test questions at home and three separate visits to their offices.
And then after you have spent 3 days of your time in total spread over a few weeks, you either are not told that you haven't got the job or that you didn't get the job because of something on your resume they could have spotted right at the beginning!
Eventually I got fed up and started my own business. Ironically several companies that refused to interview me or rejected me after interview actually have purchased software from my business!
