Miley Cyrus is 15 years old. She posed for a sexually suggestive photo in Vanity Fair (but no actual nudity).
This is a great publicity stunt for Vanity Fair. They've received a ton of "free publicity" over the controversy. The people protesting the photo probably aren't the type of people who read Vanity Fair anyway.
Is "child pornography" a crime? Due to pro-State brainwashing, children aren't able to think for themselves until age 18 or older. Is a 15 year old girl a child? Biologically, if you can get pregnant or make someone else pregnant, then you're not a child. By this standard, a 15 year old girl is not a child. If she voluntarily consents to the picture, there's nothing wrong, even if it were full nudity.
What about younger children? In that case, it's the parent's responsibility, not the State's. If a parent chooses to take photographs of their child, that's their choice.
I heard that parents sometimes (intentionally or accidentally) take photos of their kids while naked or partially naked. When they send the photos to a store to be developed, the store clerk complains to the red market enforcers! As a result, the State sometimes takes children away from their parents!
"Child pornography" is a fake crime used as an excuse to increase State power. State propaganda artists say "Child pornography on the Internet is a problem. Therefore, the Internet should be heavily regulated." Ultimately, it's the parent's responsibility for what happens to their child, until they're old enough to make decisions themselves.

why does Vanity Fair have to show that kind of content of a teenager? Especially one who many people like to look up to. showing pictures like that ruin many peoples point of view towards miley. i would personally call that child pornography. no doubt about it.

"why does Vanity Fair have to show that kind of content of a teenager?"
The answer is in an interview with Fox News March 28, 2008 By Hollie McKay entitled,'Pop Tarts: Miley Cyrus: 'Faith Keeps Me Grounded.''
Miley commented, "I think it’s my faith that keeps me grounded, especially because I’m a Christ follower for sure," Cyrus told us. "Live like Christ and he’ll live in you, and that’s what I want to do."
She may as well have painted a bullseye on her back.
